Have anyone noticed that the Weather Channel (Weather.com) have started naming snow storms? I find this very odd given no one have ever bothered to name snow storms. Hurricanes are the only storms they name and is recognized by name by everyone. Yet do the Weather Channel really think naming snow storms is going to catch on?
Well, they named the recent Nor'Easter Athena, and now the midwest snow storm is Brutus. Makes me wonder if they will start next naming individual tornadoes.
I find this all very wierd.
